The Duck & Swan Hotel

The Duck & Swan doesn't have a website, so I'm linking to this Wikipedia article instead. After all, they've instantly become my definition of the "public house".

Nice atmosphere. Footy tipping. Bar food. Kid-friendly beer garden.

Can't understand why I didn't get there earlier. Guaranteed to make the trip regularly for now on.

My tip: go for the seafood grill for two while the special lasts.

Phew! After all my talk I am quite glad you guys actually liked it!

I was thinking maybe this year will be the year I join the AFL footy tipping comp, I am quite the novice to much that is sport related (the idea of the cricket is to occasionally watch whats's going on and drink copious amounts of fermented vegetable products right?) but I was encouraged to start watching the Swans from about the quarter-finals last year and was bloody enthralled. I realise those few-seconds-left-Sydney-takes-the-lead type of games are rare but jeez it was exciting. So as a true johhny-come-lately I will be following thier progress this year - just don't tell the missus!

Also at the end of the year there is a footy tipping comp lunch which I have never been (officialy) part of and it looks like a lot of fun.

I'm very very interested in your story. I got a 500 word news assignment due by next Monday. Can I turn your story into a news writing? I really want to know how your partner and you went through this together, and how community involved to help you. If you like to, can you please send me an e-mail at hsiaoraye@gmail.com

Thank you very much.
