Carriageworks open day review


We made it to the Carriageworks open day.

The site itself is absolutely spectacular, though I hope someone is thinking about the acoustics. Concrete everywhere is asking for trouble.

Amongst the expected wank-art, there were also some real gems — including a display of set design pieces and a workshop by Legs On the Wall, staffed by our good friend Simone. Both our kids had a great time with their hulla-hoops.

My final comment is a bit narky, but guys, can you buy your designer a copy of Edward Tufte's The Visual Display of Quantitative Information? Honestly! The way you find Bay 17 on the Carriageworks map is not to look for the 17 on the map, but the 4, which according to the legend represents Bay 17...
